Guro Erick "Sanko" Cruz



Biography
Guro
Erick Cruz started his Martial Arts training in 1984 in Karate
Do in the Philippines. Guro Erick lived in the
Philippines for many years and served in the USAF from 1988 until 2005.
In 2005, Guro Erick left active duty and went into the
reserves to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. Guro Erick graduated in
July 2005 from the Southern Desert Regional Police Academy and
is currently working for the Clark County Justice Court in Las Vegas, Nevada
as a Deputy Sheriff. Guro Erick is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Aikido
under Kai Shin Kai, United Kingdom. In addition Guro Erick was
the 2000 World Eskrima, Kali, Arnis (WEKAF) Federation
middleweight champion. Guro Erick has been training in
Martial Arts for 25 years and is in charge of helping the
development of Filipino Mixed Martial Arts System. In 2005, Guro Erick became a full instructor in Jeet Kune Do
under Professor Hargrave from the World Jeet Kune Do
Federation. Guro Erick is PG Bill Garness right hand man and is in charge of all of the control
holds and Aikido.
On December 8, 2006 Guro Erick was promoted to
Black Belt 8th degree under the United States Kali Association
under the Direction Of Tuhon Gaudiosa Ruby. On August 4th,
2007 Guro Erick was inducted into the United States Martial
Arts Hall of Fame.
